CBD OIL FOR DOGS AND CATS

Naturalpes CBD oil for dogs and cats is intended for the well-being of our animal friends. It is produced in the same way as WELLNESS oil, before being enriched with vitamin E.

CATS & DOGS oil - like all our oils - benefits from the entourage effect of cannabinoids. This entourage effect refers to the synergy achieved by all the components of cannabis. They work together to enhance the therapeutic properties and benefits of the plant. Schematically, it can be said that each compound amplifies the therapeutic properties of the others.

The pet range consists of two products:

• CBD DOGS Oil for dogs (5% cannabidiol)
• CBD CATS Oil for cats (3% cannabidiol)

The growing use of CBD for animals :

Cannabidiol is increasingly prescribed as a treatment for dogs and cats. Mostly in the form of oil, as a food supplement. And the results seem to be very convincing, according to Swiss Radio Television (RTS).

It is important to note that the use of CBD in pets should be supervised. Even if it helps to reduce anxious behaviour or senility, CBD should not be given to "calm down" a young animal. It is therefore strongly recommended that CBD be used under veterinary supervision.

The dosage should also be adapted according to :

• The concentration of the product
• The race
• The size
• The weight of the animal

Studies on CBD for animals

A study on the efficacy of CBD for the treatment of osteoarthritis was conducted in 2020. This was a randomised, double-blind study (with a control group, which received placebo). The study was divided into three parts:

• In vitro
• On mice
• On dogs

Its initial findings are that "In vitro and in mice, CBD significantly attenuated the production of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and TNF-α, while raising levels of the anti-inflammatory IL-10."

In dogs, the researchers noted: "In the veterinary study, CBD significantly decreased pain and increased mobility (...) in animals with a diagnosis (...) of osteoarthritis."

This would therefore tend to prove that CBD can cure osteoarthritis in dogs. Good news for pets, then.

Regarding potential side effects, the results of the study are also very positive: "Hematocrit, complete metabolic profile and clinical chemistry indicated no significant negative impact of CBD administration over the 4-week analysis period. This study confirms the safety and therapeutic potential of hemp-derived CBD for the relief of arthritis pain."

It would seem that with the right dosage of CBD, our four-legged friends can continue to use them without pain for a long time.
